The lessons introduce young Dragon Slayers to the struggles we all face and help them better understand virtues and character. The SLAY Method then gives Dragon Slayers a simple way to pause, reflect, and make intentional choices. But real growth happens beyond the lesson itself.

Over time, habits are formed.
Repeated choices become habits. Habits shape character. And character shapes the destiny of both the dragon and the Dragon Slayer.
The Dragon Masters
Dragon Masters are the teachers, parents, mentors, and guides who help young Dragon Slayers recognize struggles, practice virtues, and grow through daily choices. And this is where Dragon Masters use what we call the Ember Eye. The Ember Eye is the practice of noticing moments of courage, honesty, perseverance, kindness, self-control, and other virtues as they happen. And then, Dargon Masters help the Dragon Slayers grow by offering encouragement, affirmation, guidance, and correction along the way.
The Ember Eye
The Ember Eye is one of the most important keys to helping the Dragon Slayer journey truly come to life. Lessons help Dragon Slayers understand virtues and recognize struggles, but real growth happens through everyday life as Dragon Slayers face challenges, make mistakes, and learn to make repeated good choices. This is where Dragon Masters and the Ember Eye become essential.
The Ember Eye is the intentional practice of noticing small, often quiet moments where character is taking shape. Before good choices become lasting habits, they usually begin as flickering embers. The Dragon Master has an essential role to help nurtures these embers to help them develop into steady flames.
A child tells the truth when it’s hard. Another pauses to calm down instead of reacting with anger. One chooses perseverance instead of giving up when something becomes difficult. These moments become opportunities for encouragement, guidance, reflection, and meaningful conversations. And to help guide these everyday moments, Dragon Masters are provided with Ember Eye guides to provide suggestions. By using the Ember Eye, Dragon Masters help Dragon Slayers build a growth mindset and motivate them to continue to make good choices, even when it’s hard.
And over time, one choice at a time, both the Dragon and the Dragon Slayer begin to transform.
